Palm Vaults

24 August 2016

With summer feeling like it's coming to an end, cosy coffee dates are totally back. With east London being full of hipster cafes serving avocado on toast and green smoothies it's hard to choose which one when they are all so tempting, I decided to start off the right way with the local gem down the road from where I live, seeing as I have been seeing it all over my instagram over the past week.

You're welcomed by the smell of coffee beans and a smile from their lovely staff and of course the new Frank Ocean album! The venue is full of house plants hanging from the ceilings and has a total 80's Miami vibe with it's gold and pink velvet interior, it is so so me!

There is so much to choose from Frappe's to non dairy drinks, as well as a healthy brunch food menu too. Trust me when I say their drink game is not to be messed with, they have pretty much everything plus a couple specials. Straight away I decided to order their famous Velvet Latte (A mix of beetroot and steamed almond vanilla milk, which doesn't even need sugar), along with a palm goddess juice and the tempting raw chocolate and pistachio cake on the vitrine. My friend Liv went for the avocado on toast, a Palm Vaults juice and of course, a Velvet Latte. I must say everything tasted amazing, even the chocolate cake was so good, not one of those sickening too chocolatey cakes.

This local independant joint is definitely going to be my new spot and I'll be sure to try the matcha latte next time too. It's honestly worth a visit if you're ever local!

Review | Nude By Nature Contour & Highlight Collection

22 August 2016

Nowadays contour and highlight are a must when it comes to our make up routines and something I find myself researching and investing in more. So, when the access all Asos team invited me for breakfast at their Nude by Nature event how could I even say no!? I was lucky to have picked up these goodies at the event earlier in July to review and see what I thought of the new range, and boy did they give me a load of beautiful things to try!

I hadn't heard of Nude by Nature before it popped up in the 'New in' section on ASOS earlier in June, but their simple and gold packaging did catch my eye. The brand itself is all about 'beauty that's good for you' and is all mineral based made with ingredients such as Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, and native Australian Kakadu Plum, known for being full of vitamin C.

The collection features three stick highlight sticks, a highlight palette and a contour palette which are all BEE YOU TEE FULL! I didn't even know mineral highlighter was a thing but one thing I will definitely let you know is that the one I tried by Nude by nature did not disappoint. The highlight palette was very natural and blendable and even though it doesn't 'pop' like a lot of the ones I am used to wearing, they are buildable which if I'm being honest is meant to be the purpose of them.

The contour palette however, did make me look a little muddy, possibly because the shades clashed with my skintone a little, so maybe the brand will consider more shades for different skin tones in the future. In terms of texture and application, the powders do glide and blend well, it was just a shame the shades didn't suit me well. Whilst I think contour kits are great I feel like they don't usually work for me shade wise, or they will have shades I won't use.

My favourite products were the highlight sticks which are cream to powder based and glide on like satin! I can wear them alone or under the powder highlight if I want more of a pop. If the whole highlight and contour concept is your thing then you gotta try these!

Nude by Nature is available now in the UK on ASOS

Have any of the collection caught your eye? What would you like to try the most?

Nude By Nature x ASOS Breakfast

16 July 2016

So last Tuesday I was kindly invited by ASOS to breakfast at Mei's Deli in Marylebone. Sadly I didn't get to take any pictures of the amazing smoothies, granola pots and pancakes as the table was pretty cluttered with Blogger gadgets and Latte cups by the times I had arrived but I can assure it, it was DELISH and I will definitely be paying them another visit very soon!

The breakfast was followed by a talk from Clint Dowell (The creative director of Nude by Nature) who explained a little about the brand and the products and then colour matched us so we knew our shades in their amazing loose powder foundation. I was lucky enough to not only get to take home the whole of their contour collection but their amazing highlight kit, highlight sticks, and a complexion starter kit (reviews to follow)

Some of the products featured above are already available now on the ASOS website Here

Jeff Koons at Newport Street Gallery

It's been a while since I've decided to drag my butt out of my bed on a sunday and did something. So yesterday I did just that and met up with my friend Hanad and headed down to the Newport Street Gallery to tick off something from my 'London to do list' to see the Jeff Koons 'Now' exhibition. I won't give too much away as pictures don't do the collections any justice, but do head down there if you can to take a look for yourself. It is absolutely Amazing!

New in | Adidas Primeknit

10 July 2016

Another day, another on foot? Erm, yes! When it comes to trainers I simply cannot help myself and lately adidas has been killing it with the Primeknit. These are two pairs I picked up over June that I simply couldn't go home without! Lightweight and comfortable these two are perfect for summer and I will definitely be rocking them a lot!

17 June 2016

This season was all about the eye catching bombers instead of your plain MA1 flight type. Both high street and high end brands (such as Topshop and Maje) had the most amazing printed bombers from 90's Japanese inspired 'Sukajan' styles to floral embroideries. With so much to choose from this one caught my eye as soon as the lookbook was released. I'm not usually very daring when it comes to colour, about 80% of what I own is in some sort of monochrome shade, but this one right here had my name all over it. I was a little unsure about the bedazzled emblem and how I would be able to style it, but it quickly grew on me and surprisingly goes with most items.

Seeing as the jacket catches all the attention itself (the rude slogan and all), I had to keep everything else minimal so I teamed it up with one of my favourite jumpsuits and my everyday sneakers.
I think this piece will remain one of my favourites for more seasons to come!
